Is there a freshman team?
Yes, there is always a freshman team.
Do I have to play club soccer to tryout for the El Capitan Soccer teams?
No, of course not. In fact, you do not have to play at all. We are looking for all players from inexperienced to very experienced; however, the experience and skills taught at the club level will benefit players during tryouts and team selection.
What grades do I have to get to be eligible?
To be eligible for participation in a sport you must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher without having 2 "F's", 2 "U's", or an "F" & "U". You must also carry 5 - 5 unit courses.
What do I do if I play Football or another Fall sport that conflicts with tryouts?
The coaches do their best to deconflict schedules with all other sports and activities; however, if there is a conflict, it is best resolved by just letting one of the coaches of the team you plan to tryout for, know in advance.
What do I do if I want to tryout for basketball or another Winter sport?
If you are interested in trying out, or participating in another winter sport in parallel with soccer please contact the coaches immediately so that adjustments can be made.
How do I play in the Alumni game?
If you are an alumni you must contact the head coach via email in November of the school year you wish to play. It is a first come first serve basis up to ~40 players.
When is the girls alumni game?
The girl's alumni game is right before the boy's alumni game at 5:00pm. Please see the alumni page for details.
